The BPEX School Sausage of the Year Competition

The Annual British Sausage Week Schools Competition challenges primary aged children to use their classroom learned skills to win prizes for themselves, their school and the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

In 2007 we asked Key Stage 1 children to colour in Mr Sausage's 10th Birthday Cake and to write their name and age clearly for the judges.

Key Stage 2 pupils used their literacy skills to solve a sausage related word search and then write a sentence of no more then 20 words telling us why they love sausages.

With over 20,000 entries the winners really delivered top performances in the eyes of the judges, 3 Primary School teachers, to come out on top.

The Winner receives a £100.00 shopping voucher of their choice, a School Standard Microscope for their school and a £100.00 to give to the local branch of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

For 2nd Place, they receive a £50.00 shopping voucher of their choice, a School Standard Microscope for their school and a £50.00 to give to the local branch of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

And for 3rd Place, they receive a £25.00 shopping voucher of their choice, a School Standard Microscope for their school and a £25.00 to give to the local branch of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust
